shining a light on solar energy

When we began to renovate our 1907 Seattle home, Scott wanted to include solar energy. I thought solar in Seattle was a crazy idea, but after we installed an 18 panel solar roof a funny thing happened.

We discovered our roof generated over 4000 kilowatt hours per year. Enough clean energy to offset over 3 tons of carbon annually. In a city famous for its cloudy days.

That’s when we realized we had to spread the word about solar. If it worked in Seattle... imagine the possibilities for solar homes everywhere.

And so, Solar Pie was born.

Here we are in front of the house that started it all. That's me, Carolyn Sherwood, and my husband, Scott.
